I’ve been very busy recently working on many exciting projects (I want to show you more… but I cannot yet!). But for the moment I would love to wish you a Happy Easter full of chocolates! ;)
I recently had the great pleasure of working on a new illustration for British luxury brand Henry London and their Mother’s Day Campaign.
My first contact with their watches really won my heart: their designs had the perfect balance between classic elegance and modern luxury (an essence of vintage-meets-modern design that I loved). See and enjoy ;) :
And the briefing for this project, oh… the briefing cannot be more inspiring: a beautiful illustration for their upcoming Mother’s Day Campaign featuring one of their gorgeous models (it was difficult to choose, but I finally fell for a red opalescent beauty, the Holborn). Mother’s-Daughter’s love is a timeless concept full of tenderness. I wanted to create something classy and stylish, but pure, fresh and lovely at the same time.
After several sketches and ideas discarded, we found a winning one, simple and adorable:

Less is more. Undoubtedly one of the best lessons I learnt from my teachers when I was studying illustration: don’t be afraid of the blank/negative space, there’s something powerful in using less resources to getting better results.
