A sexy new work for luxe French lingerie label Maison Close!
Maison Close is organizing on April 22nd an unique event, their first Journée de la Muse (litterally: The Day of the Muse), which will be a day dedicated to celebrating women and femininity. We teamed up to design a drawing that symbolize their “Muse”, evoking an old-fashioned magazine cover with a delicate gold lace pattern as background.
I absolutely loved working on this image – after all, what can be better than a gorgeous luxury lingerie set and a touch of rich red on the lips? Not to mention my soft spot for all things french (and all things vintage!).
During the two upcoming weeks, Maison Close is planning several delicate attentions and special offers… included this exceptional 1000€ voucher (1,000€ that’s right!), valid on their entire e-shop, to treat yourself to the lingerie wardrobe of your dreams! Enter the draw here.
I recently had the great pleasure of working on a new illustration for British luxury brand Henry London and their Mother’s Day Campaign.
My first contact with their watches really won my heart: their designs had the perfect balance between classic elegance and modern luxury (an essence of vintage-meets-modern design that I loved). See and enjoy ;) :
And the briefing for this project, oh… the briefing cannot be more inspiring: a beautiful illustration for their upcoming Mother’s Day Campaign featuring one of their gorgeous models (it was difficult to choose, but I finally fell for a red opalescent beauty, the Holborn). Mother’s-Daughter’s love is a timeless concept full of tenderness. I wanted to create something classy and stylish, but pure, fresh and lovely at the same time.
After several sketches and ideas discarded, we found a winning one, simple and adorable:
And last but not least… Mother’s Day is only just around the corner, Henry London is helping you find the perfect gift for the lady in your life offering a FREE ENGRAVING promo code! The perfect opportunity to create a wonderfully unique & personal gift with your message that will give pleasure for years to come!
Less is more. Undoubtedly one of the best lessons I learnt from my teachers when I was studying illustration: don’t be afraid of the blank/negative space, there’s something powerful in using less resources to getting better results. Since then I have not ceased to apply this rule in my daily life… and is the philosophy I had in mind when I was creating ‘Muse’: no more than a black & white combo (and a ‘digital makeup‘ touch), letting her splendid dress speak for itself!
‘Muse’ is also available as a beautiful phone case at The Dairy, perfect gift for girls who love Chanel, adore Kate Moss + have a severe addiction to flicking through the pages of the latest Vogue. ;) (26€/40 AUD + FREE worldwide shipping!).
